APT specials top the list for highest-rated airings and market share in December
During the week of December 1-7, Happy Holidays: The Best of the Andy Williams Christmas Shows made the list of top 20 airings on two occasions. On WGCU in Ft. Myers, this program had the second highest-rated individual airing on a public television station with a 6.0 rating and an 8 share. Also, on KTCA in St. Paul, Happy Holidays received a 3.18 rating and a 5 share, the sixteenth highest airing of the week. In the same week, Simon and Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park earned a 3.9 rating and a 6 share on KOPB in Portland, making it the eighth highest airing of the week on a public television station. In addition, during the week of December 8-14, Pride and Prejudice showed strong viewership. Its airing on WNET in New York earned a 3.4 rating and a 6 share, the twelfth highest of the week on a public television station.
