APT Worldwide To Offer
New Titles At MIPCOM

BOSTON, Massachusetts (September 28, 2004): APT Worldwide, the international sales division of U.S. public television distributor American Public Television, will offer 10 new titles at MIPCOM this October 4 - 7, 2004. This year, APT Worldwide has a mix of non-fiction programs exploring health, social/current affairs, lifestyle, art and music. Both APT and APT Worldwide will be based in the United States Independents section, booth number R30.18 during the four days of MIPCOM.

These titles include: September's Children (1x60), a look at the devastating effects of war and terrorism on children in Afghanistan, Israel, Gaza and New York City; the documentary Thirst (1x60), ordinary citizens risk their lives and jobs to retain control of their local water against multinational corporations; A Great Wonder (1x60), heartbreaking and inspiring stories from the "Lost Children of Sudan;" Playing for Real (1x60), a profile of two musical prodigies as they embark on professional music careers; The Dabbawallas (1x60), a fascinating study of human and social ingenuity among workers in Bombay, India; One Bite of the Apple: A Portrait of the Artist Edwina Sandys (1x60), the story of Winston Churchill's eccentric granddaughter who achieves fame as a noted artist; The Cure (1x60), a look at the startling discoveries that revolutionized medical care for heart disease and stroke, and the global race to find a cure; Wine, Food & Friends With Karen MacNeil With Cooking Light (13x30), the best-selling author of The Wine Bible pairs food and wine with delicious results; The Ten Tenors: Larger Than Life (1x60), a spectacular concert with the famous10 Australian tenors, filmed live in Brisbane; and Loreena McKennitt: No Journey's End (1x30), a beautifully haunting performance with the internationally acclaimed singer.
