American Public Television presents Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band in a fun, hit-filled concert performance

(February 13, 2004 Boston, Mass.) American Public Television is proud to distribute RINGO STARR AND HIS ALL STARR BAND 2003 1/58) a look at Ringo Starr behind the scenes and from the view point of the audience as he tours with his all-star back-up band performing Beatles hits and '80s pop.
Forty years ago this month (February 9, 1964), the Beatles captivated American audiences with their rock 'n roll music when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. This year the Beatles were honored at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards with the prestigious President's Award and a tribute performance. Ringo Starr and his only surviving band-mate, Sir Paul McCartney joined the celebration via satellite from London. Ringo Starr is still making music and has been touring the United States for over a decade.
RINGO STARR AND HIS ALL STARR BAND 2003 features a song list that will delight any boomer with an affinity for the Beatles, performances from the entire tour, behind the scenes clips, rehearsal footage and interviews with the band members.
The all-star band is an ensemble of accomplished musicians: Sheila E. (Prince and the Revolution) on drums and percussion, John Waite (The Babys) on bass, Paul Carrack (Ace, Squeeze and Mike and the Mechanics) on keyboards/vocals, Colin Hay (Men at Work) on guitar/vocals and Mark Rivera (Billy Joel Band) on sax and guitar.
