AMERICAN PUBLIC TELEVISION CULINARY PROGRAMS
Food Trip With Todd English, America's Test Kitchen From Cook's Illustrated, Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie and Lidia's Family Table rank among TV's top culinary programs in 2006
Boston (March 29, 2007) The James Beard Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that celebrates America's culinary heritage, has nominated four American Public Television (APT) programs for its 2007 Broadcast Media Awards. The annual media awards honor culinary television programs, webcasting and radio programs that aired in 2006.Winners will be announced on May 6, 2007 at the Hudson Theater at the Millennium Hotel in New York City.
The foundation nominated APT's FOOD TRIP WITH TODD ENGLISH for best Television Food Special. This program features chef Todd English's culinary adventures in Japan, where he feasts on sushi and prized Kobe beef. In addition, three of APT's popular culinary series dominated the category for best National Television Food Show. AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN FROM COOK'S ILLUSTRATED, GOURMET'S DIARY OF A FOODIE and LIDIA'S FAMILY TABLE were all nominated for this prestigious award.
