GO "GREEN" WITH TWO NEW LIFESTYLE AND COOKING PROGRAMS THAT WILL TRANSFORM YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE

Cultivating Life and The Endless Feast encourage simple and organic living

Boston, MA (Feb. 23, 2007) American Public Television (APT) is proud to announce two "green"-focused programs set to air on public television stations across the nation. CULTIVATING LIFE and THE ENDLESS FEAST take viewers beyond chain stores and mass-market products in search of locally grown produce and green-friendly goods. Both shows provide simple and easy tips for viewers to reconnect with the land.

Travel across North America — from Brooklyn to British Columbia — and discover the journey your meal makes — from farm fields to your plate — in the "extreme-dining" program THE ENDLESS FEAST. This rustic dining series is hosted by celebrated culinary experts, including food writer Anna Lappé. It also features esteemed chefs such as John Gorham, Ben Dyer, Scott Dolich, Remi Lauvan and Gail Hobbs as they create tantalizing menus comprised of regional organic specialties. Meet the food producers and the chefs who discuss their relationship with the food and then feast together outdoors in farm fields, vineyards and urban gardens. THE ENDLESS FEAST will air on public television nationwide beginning May 2007. Please check local listings for details.

In CULTIVATING LIFE, host Sean Conway offers simple solutions for "renovating" one's life with easy-to-do projects and timely ideas for outdoor living, cooking, gardening and entertaining. Conway and a variety of guest experts demystify old agrarian traditions and reinterpret them to fit modern lifestyles. An episode on grasses includes segments on bamboo furnishings for the home, cooking with lemongrass, collecting vintage lawnmowers and a visit to one of America's last surviving prairies. CULTIVATING LIFE also reveals inspiring stories of those who have changed the world in subtle — and often surprising — ways: gardeners who hunt and preserve heirloom flowers and vegetables, contractors who protect 200-year-old barns, and chefs who specialize in using locally grown produce. The program is currently airing on public television stations nationwide and on the 24/7 digital channel, Create TV.

Requests for screeners, interviews and photos can be submitted to Lorenzo Petruzziello at 617-338-4455, Ext. 133 or e-mail at Lorenzo_Petruzziello@APTonline.org.
