THE 28th ANNUAL FORT LAUDERDALE CHRISTMAS PAGEANT captures the sights and sounds of the holiday season in an entertaining hour-long concert. This elaborate, highly produced musical production, staged by the First Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, features a 1,000-member cast of actors, dancers, musicians, singers and even a young acrobatic troupe performing against the backdrop of a winter wonderland. The 2011 edition features Broadway-style opening scene, rousing renditions of inspirational contemporary songs and familiar carols, an elegant candle-lit processional, an uplifting musical drama of the nativity of Jesus Christ, a rock opera-style twist on The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairyand a dazzling pyrotechnic display.
