JOHN WOODEN: THE INDIANA STORY celebrates the life of the legendary basketball coach and inspirational teacher (1910-2010). Told through archival photos and interviews, this half-hour biography details John Wooden's formative experiences in his native Indiana: his farm upringing, his courtship of the girl-next-door, his service in World War II, his basketball heroics in high school and at Purdue University, his seven seasons in the National Basketball League, his time learning the coaching trade and his record-setting career at UCLA. NBA Hall of Famer and Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird, Olympic gold medalist Steve Alford, Indiana Pacers announcer Bob "Slick" Leonard, legendary Indiana high school coach Bill Green and other Hoosier-state luminaries discuss Wooden and his lasting impact on the sport.
