In MARTIN CLUNES: HEAVY HORSEPOWER, the Doc Martinstar examines the role of the world's working horses as he begins training his own beloved Clydesdales, Ronnie and Bruce, and puts them through their paces on his Dorset farm. Martin has had the pair for two years, but they still have much to learn as they are sent away to expert trainer Robert Sampson to be instructed in the art of cart-pulling. Martin himself then travels to Europe and America, discovering how working horses are once more proving their value. In Italy he finds out how heavy horses are better for the soil than any tractor.
