Description

BARBECUE AMERICA is a 13-part journey through the backroads of the "barbecue belt," exploring America's legendary contribution to the culinary landscape. In this season, Chef Rick Browne continues his quest for America's best barbecue and grilling recipes. Each episode features a different barbecue event, festival, cook-off or restaurant. From the Hold 'em and Hit 'em BBQ contest in Texas to a demonstration of Cuban grilling in Florida, from the Crab Festival in San Francisco to deep frying lessons alongside the alligators in the Bayou, BARBECUE AMERICA serves up local history and lore along with mouth-watering and handy how-to tips. Along the way, viewers discover the people, places, characters and country that make up the fabric of a culture and cuisine that is as colorful as it is delicious.
