Description

WORLDFOCUS, public television’s weeknightly international newscast, features breaking news and enterprise reporting on the issues transforming countries, cultures and the global economy. An award-winning editorial team, led by anchor Daljit Dhaliwal (Foreign Exchange, BBC News), shares the highest commitment to diversity, integrity and independence in storytelling. WORLDFOCUS delivers global coverage from a variety of viewpoints. Its network of international partners include: The New York Times; The Washington Post; The Wall Street Journal; the Christian Science Monitor; NBC; ABC Australia; ITN (Great Britain); Deutsche Welle (Germany); TV Globo (Brazil); Israel’s Channels 2 and 10 and Israel Broadcast Authority; Al Jazeera English; CBC NewsWorld (Canada); GlobalPost; A24 (an aggregator of African programming) and a diverse group of experts on international affairs. Following its launch in August 2008, WORLDFOCUS won the Robert F. Kennedy award for Journalism and earned two national Emmy nominations.
