CHANGING SEAS II

#201 “No Fish Left Uncounted”
The Changing Seas crew shadows a team of research divers counting the fish in Dry Tortugas National Park. The scientists are measuring if marine protected areas are helping the regional ecosystem rebound from years of over-fishing and environmental change.

#202 “Sentinels of the Seas”
This episode takes a closer look at the health of Florida’s most beloved marine mammal – the bottlenose dolphin. The animal’s charismatic smile belies the silent threats lurking in its ocean home. Many Florida dolphins are showing disturbing signs of immune system dysfunction and disease, which may be linked to contaminant exposure.

#203 “Seagrasses and Mangroves
Changing Seas examines the important role seagrasses and mangroves play in the ocean’s web of life. Today both are in decline globally, threatening an ecosystem collapse from the bottom of the food chain all the way to the top.

#204 “Sinking the Vandenberg”
The final episode explores the world’s second largest intentionally sunk shipwreck, the USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg. Submerged in the clear blue waters off Key West, in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, this artificial reef is now attracting fish, fishermen and divers.
