CHANGING SEAS takes viewers on a seaward adventure with explorers and scientists as they uncover new information that could lead to scientific breakthroughs. The series teaches viewers how oceanographers and other experts study the Earth's last frontier. It also sheds light on how human activities are threatening ocean resources. Episodes in season 17 take an in-depth look at the ecology of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, the impact of plastic on marine life, the mysterious activity of spinning fish observed in the Florida Keys, and the life cycles of elephant seals.
