In season two of A CRAFTSMAN’S LEGACY, host Eric Gorges continues his quest to discover true craftsmen in today’s world. Traveling across the country including with stops in Michigan, North Carolina and Tennessee, he interviews men and women who are carrying the tools, trade and traditions of fine craftsmanship in the 21st century. In each episode Eric explains the history of an old-world craft and the importance of that craft as it is practiced in America today. A welder by trade, he meets and interviews men and women who are master craftsmen, exploring why they chose their craft, where they learned their skills, how they live using their talents, and the challenges and importance of keeping that tradition alive in a modern day world. Eric then takes on the role of an apprentice to work on a project under the guidance of the master craftsman to demonstrate that with the right tools and careful direction, a person with no experience can learn the basic skills to create something of lasting value.
