Naturalist, author, educator, and Emmy®-winning host Dr. Patrick McMillan embarks on exotic and fascinating adventures throughout North and South America in the 13-part series EXPEDITIONS WITH PATRICK MCMILLAN. McMillan shares his passion and enthusiasm for the natural world on his treks through botanical gardens, tropical rainforests, swamps, mountain ranges, prairies, coastal ecosystems and other ecologically rich areas. In these unique and often endangered habitats, he encounters rare wildlife and charts the conservation efforts underway. In September 2015, the series won its fourth regional Emmy Award for the episode "Hummingbirds — Life in Fast-forward," for "Outstanding Informational/Instructional Programming." The episode took three years to film in parts of South Carolina, Arizona and Ecuador.
