In the latest season of FIT 2 STITCH, host Peggy Sagers takes viewers behind the scenes of the historic Texas Fashion Collection at the University of North Texas, one of the most significant fashion archives in the U.S. In 1907, luxury fashion retailer Neiman Marcus opened in Dallas. Three decades later, Stanley and Edward Marcus – whose father co-founded the department store – began preserving the work of top designers and their historically important designs, beginning an archive that now includes nearly 20,000 garments spanning 250 years of fashion. In season 12, Peggy explores this vast collection, offers insights into two centuries of fashion history, highlights the hows and whys behind fashion’s greats, and shows viewers how to apply these lessons to their own designs.
