IN THE AMERICAS WITH DAVID YETMAN Season 12
TV-G · 10 × 30 min
Producer: Southwest Center
IN THE AMERICAS WITH DAVID YETMAN explores the lands that make up the Western Hemisphere. The series showcases the landscapes, peoples and natural history of the Americas – from a Mayan archaeological site in Chiapas, Mexico and the coastal redwood forests of California to the temperate rain forests on Alaska’s panhandle and the small farms of central Brazil. On foot and by raft, boat, ferry, bicycle, horse and motorcycle, host David Yetman journeys near and far, from the Cascade Mountains of Washington to the labyrinthine estuaries of Oaxaca’s Pacific coast. Along the way, he meets people from all walks of life – natives and immigrants, islanders and mainlanders, pastoralists and city-dwellers – and hears their stories.
