NEWSROOM TOKYO, launched in 2015, serves as the flagship program of NHK World. The half-hour broadcast reflects on day-to-day events in Japan and Asia, with segments covering business news and market trends throughout the Asian Peninsula, as well as news from Asia and Oceania. Featuring in-depth commentary and live reports by experts, NEWSROOM TOKYO Season 3 offers a different perspective to Western media, showing the latest developments from a Japanese and Asian standpoint. NHK's extensive network provides an additional edge by collaborating with overseas bureaus and regional broadcasting stations to provide more detailed, wide-ranging coverage while simultaneously leveraging its social media presence to connect with a broader audience.
