It is a land of dramatic contrasts – vast cattle ranches where charros still ride with pride and ancient gypsum dunes that shimmer white against the desert sky. This season, Pati visits the Americas' first winery, Casa Madero, where vineyards have thrived for over four centuries in an oasis surrounded by desert. Viewers are then introduced to the women who climb Viesca’s towering date palms – a tradition that stretches back nearly 300 years. Along her journey, Pati also tries pink pine nuts gathered from the Sierra, breads sweetened with piloncillo, and meats grilled over open flames the way norteños have cooked for generations.
