SMART TRAVELS--EUROPE WITH RUDY MAXA Season 4

SMART TRAVELS — EUROPE WITH RUDY MAXA IV delivers Europe's premier destinations — from the grand plazas and sparkling fountains of Madrid and Barcelona to the castles and sweeping vineyards dotting France’s Dordogne River Valley. Rudy Maxa, public radio's original Savvy Traveler, adds a touch of luxury to the day-to-day journeys of discovery as he delves into the rich history and culture of each destination, while providing practical tips for surmounting the language barrier, adapting to different surroundings, changing money, pacing travel plans, meeting people and more. While bringing the Old World to life, Maxa also pays special attention to the spirit of change in Europe's music, art, fashion and architecture, as he tracks down trendy cuisine, hotels or a favorite local hot spot. In season four, Maxa experiences Switzerland's Alpine peaks, the white-stone cities and azure waters of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, the lush Scottish Highlands, ancient Roman ruins, sleepy hilltop towns in the Pyrenees and bustling Christmas villages in southern Germany.
