SONGPOET, THE

THE SONGPOET follows Eric Andersen’s 50-plus-year creative journey through the highs and lows of critical success and multiple career setbacks. After 40 albums, Andersen remains as vibrant and creative as when he began his career in the Beat coffeehouses of North Beach, San Francisco. Through intimate and introspective conversations with Andersen and readings from his journals, the film explores the conflicts between career, ego, relationships, and the unrelenting pursuit of one’s passion and purpose.
