South Florida PBS is harnessing the power of immersive spaces and interactive technologies to engage learners and entertain enthusiasts in ways never before possible. The organization’s Boynton Beach facility is home to a newly developed experiential learning space, where both original and licensed immersive content will be presented to complement national public television programming with the premiere of Da Vinci: An Immersive Art Experience this fall. Additionally, content is being produced for virtual reality that will foster the next generation of public television audiences by merging education, art, and entertainment into a truly interactive experience. Learn about potential projects in the pipeline, online gaming focused on civics and history, and ideas for a new broadcast special from an existing series. Moderated by Jane Whitney, host of Common Ground with Jane Whitney, our panel will also discuss approaches to planning and the role of stations as we near this important moment in history.
