Calling All Chefs: Show Off Your Skills in the Create Cooking Challenge

Public television’s premier lifestyle channel to showcase up-and-coming culinary talent

BOSTON (December 4, 2015): In February 2016, Create viewers can compete in the Create Cooking Challenge: a national contest for viewers to demonstrate their culinary prowess and vie to be featured on Create TV.com. Create is public television’s premier lifestyle channel reaching more than 44 million annual viewers and featuring well known TV chefs. Cooking content is the most popular of the genres featured on Create which also includes travel, home improvement, gardening and arts & crafts programs.

To participate in the Create Cooking Challenge, running February 8-29, 2016, entrants must submit online a short (two minutes or less) video clip featuring their best culinary projects, recipes, or tips. Open to home cooks and professional chefs, this contest will be judged by Create staff and an esteemed panel of public television chefs: Chris Kimball (America's Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country), Pati Jinich (Pati's Mexican Table), Jacques Pépin (Jacques Pépin Heart & Soul), Sara Moulton (Sara's Weeknight Meals), and Chef Irie (Taste the Islands with Chef Irie).

Winners will be announced on or about April 13, 2016. Prizes range from Create merchandise to $1,000 to finance a 10-episode web series on CreateTV.com. The contest is open to entrants 18 years and older.
